The election has shown us that America is divided, in Michigan as well as nationally.  President-elect Donald Trump will be confronted with social inequality in America — rampant inequality, persistent poverty, unequal access to healthcare and educational inequality.  The University of Michigan School of Social Work is dedicated to building a strong community for social justice to address these issues, in our own community, in Michigan, nationally, and internationally.  Now more than ever our social work community must reach out, raise hope and change society.
